Hey y'all,
You may have noticed a new palaeontology gallery in the group. Well, some of you clearly, cause you've been submitting to it. Welcome, ye olde biologistes.
Also, we (well, I and three other persons) have decided to shut down the favourites galleries, because basically it's useless, and anything that was in there should be in the real galleries.
So this is a bit of a call-out: If you've got any art in the Bioscience (https://www.deviantart.com/bioscience) Favourites folders, can you please re-submit it to the galleries? And even if not, if you have a few spare minutes, it'd be great if you could have a look through the favourites folders and submit anything that's
Mycology ?
There is the folder Zoology for animals and there is the folder Botany for plants.
But in which folder I put mushrooms and fungi :? They are neither plant nor animal ...
So I ask you: What do you think about a folder "Mycology"???
If there were such a folder, would Lichens also belong to this folder?
Because Lichens are named based on the fungal component, which plays the primary role in determining the lichen's form. Furthermore the fungus typically comprises the majority of a lichen's bulk ...

You guys are doing a great job for the most part.
It occurs to me as one of the people who gets to review which submitted pieces go in I might give a little quick reminder:
If it's an animal you made up like some sort of xenobiological scifi alien then that fits better in the "bioscience inspired art" than the "other" category.
Other than that nothing else about submissions seems to be concerning me too much at the moment.
Until this gets made into an Intelligent Design club (:fear:), make mine #Bioscience!
Paleontology?
Spurred by a conversation started in the submission queue, I thought we should throw this conversation open for everyone to take part in. The big question is
Should Bioscience (https://www.deviantart.com/bioscience) include paleontology?
and if so, should we open a paleontology gallery?
There are already a bunch of paleo-related groups on DA, including:
